ASF Leadership Agreement

This Leadership Agreement (“Agreement”) is made between Angie’s Stray Foundation (ASF) and the undersigned leadership team member.

1. Leadership Appointment & Termination

Leadership positions within ASF are granted at the sole discretion of the Founder and Director, Ruth Jenkins. ASF reserves the right to revoke a leadership appointment at any time, with or without cause, if it is determined that the individual’s actions are not in the best interest of ASF, its mission, or its animals.

2. Revocation of Access

If a leadership team member is removed from their role, all access to ASF databases, email accounts, foster chats, and any other ASF-related communication or record-keeping systems will be immediately revoked.

Former leadership team members agree to return or destroy any ASF-related documents, records, or proprietary information in their possession and must refrain from accessing, using, or distributing ASF materials in any capacity.

3. Exclusive Leadership Commitment

To maintain the integrity and focus of ASF’s leadership team:

  • Leadership team members may not hold a leadership position in another rescue organization.

  • Leadership team members may not volunteer, foster, or otherwise engage with another rescue organization without prior written approval from the Director. Approval must be obtained for each individual foster intake and volunteer activity.

4. Confidentiality & Information Protection

Leadership team members are entrusted with sensitive and proprietary information about ASF’s operations, including but not limited to:

  • Internal processes, policies, and decision-making frameworks

  • Veterinary records and medical histories of animals in ASF’s care

  • Adoption applications, adopter information, and outcomes

  • Donor and financial records

  • Contact lists, resources, and vendor agreements

5. Prohibition on Screenshots & Information Sharing

Leadership team members are strictly prohibited from taking screenshots, screen recordings, or photographs of any ASF-related communications, including but not limited to emails, chat conversations, private messages, and internal discussions.

  • Sharing, forwarding, or distributing ASF conversations, screenshots, or internal communications outside of the leadership team is a direct violation of this Agreement.

  • Any breach of this clause will be considered grounds for immediate removal from the leadership team and may result in further action if deemed necessary.

6. Professional Conduct & Representation

ASF leadership team members serve as representatives of the organization and are expected to uphold its mission and values at all times.

As such, members agree to:

  • Conduct themselves with professionalism, respect, and integrity in all ASF-related activities.

  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive leadership environment, avoiding actions that createdivision or conflict within the team.

  • Address concerns or disagreements internally through proper ASF channels rather than engaging in gossip, public criticism, or other behaviors that could damage ASF’s reputation.

  • Refrain from making unauthorized decisions, statements, or policy changes on behalf of ASF.

7. Non-Disparagement Clause

Leadership team members agree not to engage in negative discussions, gossip, or public criticism of ASF, its leadership, policies, or operations.

Any concerns or grievances must be addressed privately and directly with the Director. Failure to adhere to this clause may result in removal from the leadership team and potential legal action for reputational damage.

8. Conflict Resolution

Disputes or disagreements within the leadership team should be handled professionally, respectfully, and internally. Leadership members agree to resolve conflicts through constructive communication and ASF’s established channels rather than engaging in divisive behavior.

9. Use of ASF Resources

ASF provides resources, supplies, and financial support for the care of its animals and the execution of its mission. Leadership team members agree not to use ASF funds, materials, or donor lists for personal benefit or for the benefit of another organization without explicit written approval from the Director.

10. Social Media & Public Statements

ASF’s reputation is of the utmost importance. Leadership team members agree to:

  • Ensure that all social media activity aligns with ASF’s mission and values.

  • Avoid making unauthorized public statements on behalf of ASF. Any public communications, interviews, or social media posts related to ASF must be professional and consistent with ASF’s official messaging.

11. Liability & Release of Damages

By signing this Agreement, the undersigned fully releases and discharges ASF, its officers, agents, volunteers, and employees from any and all claims related to injuries, damages, or losses incurred as a result of their leadership role within ASF.

Furthermore, the undersigned agrees to indemnify, hold harmless, and defend ASF, its officers, agents, volunteers, and employees from any legal claims or liabilities arising from their actions as a leadership team member.
